Sarai Darbandi’s passion and deep affection for humanity has led her to be in the field of mental & behavioral health for over 10 years. She has worked in several settings including outpatient, inpatient, & private practice. She has assisted many individuals with Complex Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Anxiety, Depression, Addiction, Eating Disorders, Self-Confidence, Motivation, Spiritual Emergence, Emotional Regulation, & Preparation & Integration of Non-Ordinary States of Consciousness. Her own professional and personal experiences have taught her that healing and discovering our wholest and healthiest versions of ourselves is not one dimensional and requires a multidimensional approach.

Because of what she has witnessed in working with herself, several individuals, couple’s, groups, and communities, this led her to becoming trained and certified in multiple areas. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Arizona, EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing Therapy) Practitioner, Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist, Reiki Master, Certified Personal Trainer, Certified Mindfulness Instructor, and believes strongly in the power of somatic-based approaches (mainly drawing from Polyvagal Theory), breathwork, parts work (internal family systems & inner child & re-parenting work), and deep, honest, authentic relating to one another.

It was not until 2016  she discovered the power of ceremony, shamanic practices, plant medicines, & psychedelics. She deeply believes in how these powerful tools take us to deeper parts of ourselves and provides insights & transformations that cannot always be accessed in everyday waking consciousness. Mainly her work has been with Ayahuasca and recently completed the Ayahuasca Foundation’s 8 week initiation course in Iquitos Peru where she learned under Maestro Don Enrique. In this immersion course, she learned about the Shipibo tradition and completed 2 dietas one with Noya Rao & Bobinsana.

Sarai believes strongly in the power of community & connection as well. She co-founded the Tucson Ayahuasca Community in 2018 where individuals can receive education, support, and preparation & integration resources in a safe and accessible environment. She also runs an online community and brand called “The Multidimensional Journey” that provides 1:1 & group coaching, educational videos & podcasts, as well as retreats surrounding wellness, mental health, & non-ordinary states of consciousness. In addition, Sarai recently founded the Global Ayahuasca Professional Alliance, which focuses on education, training, and establishing ethics, values, & boundaries in the work of Ayahuasca.

Sarai is excited to be on PsiloHealth’s team to be a part of the next wave of healing, therapy, and wellness.

In her free time you can find her at the gym, in nature, singing Icaros, journaling, doing breathwork, hanging out with her cat Fluffy, and spending time with her partner Jonathon.
